FLOWERS
According to our church calendar we are now in ordinary days. Because there are no church celebrations, like Easter or Christmas, Altar Guild will not provide flowers for the altar. However, you may donate cut flowers from your garden, buy an arrangement for the altar or contact Jinx Strout at 801-944-8755 and she will arrange for flowers. A flower chart will be available in the narthex if you would like to sign up for flowers. If Altar Guild purchases flowers, a donation of $15 to St. James will be gratefully accepted.

PLEASE HELP
Spring has sprung and so have the weeds. “The plot thickens” with weeds. We are looking for help in keeping the flower bed clear of weeds and other garden impurities. If you are willing to give a few hours every couple of weeks or as needed then you are the ones we are looking for. In the narthex on the kiosk there is a map and a signup sheet. Feel free to pick your favorite plot and make yours the most beautiful. We accept families, groups, individuals, or ministries. Any questions contact Dave Nelson 801-699-6349 or e-mail dnelson@bookstore.utah.edu.
HELP NEEDED
If you play the guitar or piano and would like to help us this summer please call Jayna Stark at 272-2235.
CROSSROADS FOR JULY
The 2010 Golden Celery Challenge has been issued by the First United Methodist Church, which are the current holders of the Golden Celery Trophy. The goal is to collect as much food as possible for Crossroads Urban Center during the month of July. Totals will be calculated on a per-capita basis so large and small faith communities have an equal chance at unseating First UMC! Here is what we need to do as a participating congregation: The challenge dates are Thursday, July 1 to Friday, July 30. The Golden Celery trophy is awarded to the congregation who collects the most pounds of food per church attendee during the month, and the results will be posted by August 9, with bragging rights lasting all year. Good luck to all of us and let’s beat them!
WASHER/DRYER NEEDED
If you have a washer and dryer that you would like to donate please call Jodi at 566-1311. Thank you.
