We are glad you found us!

We Episcopalians believe in a loving, liberating, and life-giving God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  As constituent members of the Anglican Communion in the United States, we are descendants of and partners with the Church of England and the Scottish Episcopal Church, and are part of the third largest group of Christians in the world.

The Episcopal Church welcomes all as it seeks to follow Jesus Christ into loving, liberating and life-giving relationship with God, each other, and the earth. Embracing a legacy of inclusion, The Episcopal Church encourages the expression of leadership gifts by all peoples of the church. As a member of the worldwide Anglican Communion, the third largest group of Christians in the world, The Episcopal Church includes 109 dioceses and three mission areas, and it operates in 17 nations or territories with about 1.8 million members.

We are a church of many religious backgrounds.  Transplants from nearly every imaginable Christian religion.  The Episcopal Church is continually building Ecumenical and Interreligious policy....a fancy way of saying "All are welcome at the Lord's Table' in our church.

We believe in following the teachings of Jesus Christ, whose life, death, and resurrection saved the world.

We believe that God loves you – no exceptions.

Common Values at St. James

We respect, celebrate, and embrace the dignity of every human being, in all their diversity, striving for justice and peace.

We seek to follow Christ's command to love our neighbors as ourselves by ministering, in word and deed, to the world around us.

We encourage intellectual freedom in our understanding of scripture and tradition.

We acknowledge God's goodness in ourselves, in each other, and in the world. We actively seek forgiveness and reconciliation with God and with each other.

We strive to create inspiring worship, thoughtful Christian formation, and intentional hospitality, connecting us to God and to each other.

We recognize Christ in each and every person.

We welcome all people looking for healing, love, forgiveness, and acceptance, and seeking to find or recover a spiritual home in Christian community; we include families, children, young people, older people, couples, singles, and LGBTQ+ persons of any ethnicity, ability, or spiritual perspective.
